The EXM-2LL™ targets time-critical applications such as electronic trading and specialized scientific networks, as well as cellular backhaul networks where propagation of time and frequency reference is essential. The EXM2-LL™ achieves less than 14us end-to-end latency with Forward Error Correction (FEC) bypassed. For links requiring FEC to combat link impairments, end-to-end latency is less than 20us.
