Senior Signal Processing and VHDL Engineer
Job Description

Escape Communications develops signal processing platforms for bandwidth efficient, high capacity, point-to-point radio links. These platforms employ highly flexible architectures, with configurable modulation modes ranging from QPSK to 256 QAM, configurable bit rates ranging up to multi-gigabits per second, and configurable forward error correction. Configurable Mux and Demux functions allow the combining of multiple line interface types and channels within a single radio link. Applications include cellular backhaul, broadband wireless access backhaul, high capacity last mile, private networks and SATCOM.

Escape is seeking a talented and motivated individual to be a key contributor in signal processing development and implementation on our radio modem products. Responsibilities will include algorithm simulation and modeling (primarily C/C++ based), Hardware Description Language (VHDL) development and implementation, as well as functional verification of implementation on target hardware platforms. Applicants must have a proven track record of DSP ASIC and/or FPGA implementations.

Qualifications

The position requires HDL-based digital design experience (VHDL preferred, Verilog OK), solid C/C++ programming skills, and experience implementing digital logic in commercial FPGAs. A strong educational background in digital signal processing theory is also required.

A masters degree in EE or CS is required; applicants with Ph.D. are also welcome.

Preference will be given to applicants with prior relevant experience.

Escape Communications offers a relaxed work environment and a generous benefits package, including health benefits, flexible vacation time, a 401K retirement plan, and a stock options plan for qualified applicants.

US citizenship is required for this position
